How to Get Apple TV on a Samsung Smart TV (2026)

Smart TVs Updated 2026-07-12

On most Samsung smart TVs made from 2018 onward, the Apple TV app is already installed — you just open it, sign in and enter a code. If you can’t find it, here’s how to add it and start streaming Apple TV+.

Go to Apple’s official activation page link.apple.com

You will leave Link Apple Guide and open Apple’s own website. Link Apple Guide is an independent guide and is not part of Apple.

Step 1: Check your Samsung TV is supported

The Apple TV app runs on Samsung smart TVs from 2018 and later (Tizen OS). Older sets aren’t supported — you can still use a Roku, Fire TV stick, Chromecast or Apple TV box plugged into the HDMI port instead.

Step 2: Open or install the Apple TV app

  1. Press the Home button on your Samsung remote.
  2. Look for the Apple TV app on the ribbon. If it isn’t there, open Apps (the magnifying glass), search Apple TV, and select Install.
  3. Open the app and choose Sign In.

Step 3: Activate with a code

The TV shows a short code. On your phone or computer, open Apple’s official page and enter it:

  1. Go to link.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
  2. Type the code shown on the TV and select Continue.

Tip: make sure the TV and your phone are on the same Wi-Fi and the software is up to date (Settings › Support › Software Update) if the app won’t load.

If the Apple TV app is missing

Restart the TV, install any pending software update, then search the app store again. Still missing? See our guide on the Apple TV app missing from a smart TV.
