Apple TV Activation Code Not Showing Up? Here Is the Fix
When the Apple TV app should show a code but the screen stays blank, the app usually has not reached the right sign-in step or it needs an update. Here is how to make the code appear.
Make the activation code appear
- Open the Apple TV app on your TV or streaming device and select your profile if asked.
- Go to the account or sign-in area and choose Sign in on mobile device or web – this is the option that generates an on-screen code.
- Update the app. An outdated Apple TV app often cannot display a code; check your TV app store for an update and install it.
- Check your connection. The code is fetched online, so confirm the device is connected to Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- Restart the app or device if the screen is still blank, then reopen and try again.
If you only see a sign-in form asking for your Apple ID and password directly, enter them there – not every device uses the code method.
