Apple TV Remote Not Working or Not Pairing?
A dead or unresponsive Siri Remote is usually a charge or pairing issue. Try these steps in order to bring it back.
Fix the Apple TV remote
- Charge it. Plug the remote into a charger for 30 minutes – a flat battery is the most common cause.
- Re-pair it. Hold it close to the Apple TV and press and hold the Back (or Menu) and Volume Up buttons together for about five seconds.
- Restart the Apple TV by unplugging it for 10 seconds.
- Remove Bluetooth interference by moving other wireless devices away.
- Use the Apple TV Remote in the iPhone Control Center as a temporary backup.
For older aluminium remotes, point directly at the Apple TV and replace the battery if charging does not help.
