Apple Watch Will Not Pair? Linking Fixes
Apple Watch pairing problems usually come from Bluetooth range, a stalled animation, or a watch that needs resetting. Here is how to link it to your iPhone.
Fix Apple Watch pairing
- Keep the watch and iPhone close together with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on.
- Open the Watch app on iPhone and tap Pair New Watch.
- Center the watch face in the camera viewfinder when the animation appears.
- If it stalls, tap to pair manually and enter the code shown on the watch.
- Reset the watch (Settings › General › Reset › Erase All Content) if it was paired before, then start again.
Disable Airplane Mode on both devices – it is an easy thing to miss and blocks pairing.
