Two-Factor Authentication Code Not Arriving? Fixes
If your Apple verification code never arrives, you can usually request it again or generate one directly on a trusted device. Here is how.
Get your verification code
- Look on a trusted device first. The 6-digit code pops up automatically on iPhones and Macs signed in to your Apple ID.
- Generate it manually: Settings › your name › Sign-In and Security › Get Verification Code.
- Request a text or call to your trusted phone number if you have no other device.
- Check signal and spam filters if you expect an SMS code.
- Wait and retry – codes are time-limited, so request a fresh one if it is late.
A code only works once and for a short time. If it fails, request a new one rather than reusing the old code.
