How to Sign Out or Switch Apple ID on Apple TV
Whether you bought a used device or want a different account, switching the Apple ID on Apple TV is straightforward. Here is how to do it cleanly.
Sign out and switch accounts
- Open Settings on your Apple TV.
- Go to Users and Accounts, then select the current account.
- Choose Sign Out (for media and store) and remove the user if needed.
- Add the new account under Users and Accounts › Add New User.
- Sign in with the new Apple ID, using web sign-in if you prefer.
For the Apple TV app on a non-Apple device, open the app account menu and choose Sign Out, then sign in with the new Apple ID.
